The Law defines organization, authorities and principles of activity of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in compliance with the Constitution of Ukraine.
Inter alia, it is envisaged that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (the Government of Ukraine) is a supreme body in the system of executive bodies, and realizes the executive power directly and through the ministries and other central executive bodies, the Council of Ministers of the Crimean Autonomous Republic, local State administrations. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine directs, coordinates and controls activity of the said bodies.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is responsible to the President of Ukraine and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and is under the control of and accountable to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, within the limits envisaged by the Constitution of Ukraine.
